At least four different types of southern ferns (Christmas, Cinnamon,
New York, and Southern Shield) can be found in this area. In addition to
ferns, the native elderberry plant, oak leaf hydrangea, and native
azaleas co-exist. Nature does not draw boundaries and this is a stunning
collection of shade lovers.
The diversity of this area is most evident in the late spring through
late summer.
