Lots of planning and community support provided McFarlane Nature Park with a REAL rest room.  No more porta potty!

Initial donations were buried underground as the park was hooked up to Cobb County Sewer and Water lines.

Landscaping around the new building and a pathway through the woods to the picnic pavilion was completed in Winter 2005 by Eagle Scout  Mack Brown. The pathway was extended and split rail added by Scout Travis Adams in 2012.

We want to thank neighbor and developer Nadar Zarrabi for his countless hours of effort overseeing this project.

We also want to recognize Northwest Exterminating, Smyrna, GA,  for their protection of this building.

We are grateful to Dyson for the donation of two electric hand driers, and to neighbor Brent Cunningham for having the units installed in 2016.

The Phase Two Fund Raising effort was kicked off at Patron's Day on April 24, 2004  with a goal of $25,000.  Donations large and small arrived in our mailbox qualifying us very quickly for a matching grant of $2,500 from Representative Sharon Cooper.
